Description
I was born in Liverpool in 1986, there I studied art as best I could until I moved to Hertfordshire in 2007 to further my study of art at university. During my time of study I have confirmed my Artistic outlet through the medium of paint, stemming my artistic influences from the traditions of the Old Masters to modern graphic novel.
During my time of Education I have worked as a Freelance storyboard artist for a multiple of companies and Directors, currently I am in talks about collaborating on a graphic novel and still working towards making a dent in our line of history.
My latest work is intent to convey a sense of movement, this movement is displayed through a series paintings that are indented to be viewed almost as sequential art, I aim for the viewer to see the work as a progression of the figures movement, how the figure appears to be able to ripple the background with the motion of its limbs Also the figures appear to be franticly reaching and stretching beyond normal physicality for something from beyond the viewers given image,
This combination of sequential art, figurative tension and fantasy undeniably stems from my own interest in graphic novel and my work as a storyboard artist.
